Huawei’s Datacom Product Line Chief Technical Officer, Hacken Li, introduces the industry’s first enterprise flagship WiFi 7 access point, AirEngine 8771-X1T. It supports the newly introduced 6 GHz frequency band. A notable enhancement accompanying this band is the expansion of the frequency bandwidth from 160 MHz to 320 MHz.
Li explains that the key difference between WiFi 7 and its predecessor, WiFi 6, lies in the new spectrum. It now offers “faster and more reliable data transfer” along with enhanced aesthetics and energy efficiency. He also highlighted the lower latency and improved stability of the new spectrum, particularly in high-density scenarios like stadium deployments.
He also cites how WiFi 7’s high-speed connectivity significantly benefits multiple industry sectors. This includes facilitating seamless online learning experiences with real-time interaction among students and educators, and enhancing government operations for more efficient services.
